So greetings from the Hampton Inn in Valdosta, GA. We are having a day off today and recovering from an amazing first week of tour. In the past few days I got very inspired by two different films and I wanted to share them with you.

The first one is a film about a deaf musician/percussionist called "Touch the Sound." For those interested in multisensory aesthetic experience, this is an awesome way to introduce certain aspects of the idea. Think in terms of both literal and metaphorical translation of art from one sense to another. What is it that Evelyn Glennie is connected to and how does she know exactly what tempos and patterns to play if she can't hear? Think about why the cinematography unfolds the way it does. This is a beautiful thing to watch.

Second is a film called "Riding Giants." This is an amazing movie about big wave surfing and the guys that dedicate their life it.
There is one section in particular where one of the surfers is talking about his other job (he is a doctor who works with terminal patients) and how both professions tend to lead people towards eliminating the unimportant distractions from their lives. I am working on a project right now that has been making me rethink a lot of my own priorities. But more about that later...
